Who is the Pickleball Festival for?
The festival is open to everyone, including the Deaf community, and anyone interested in learning or playing Pickleball. You don’t need to have experience to join!

What is Pickleball?
Pickleball is a fun and easy-to-learn sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. It’s played with paddles and a lightweight ball, typically on a smaller court than a tennis court.

Do I need to bring my own equipment?
No, we will provide all necessary equipment, including paddles and balls. However, feel free to bring your own if you prefer.

Will there be interpreters available?
Yes, we will have British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters available to ensure that everyone can fully participate and communicate.

What if I’ve never played Pickleball before?
Not a problem! The festival is designed for beginners and those with little to no experience. We’ll have instructors available to teach you the rules and basic techniques of the game.

How much does it cost to attend?

How long is the festival?

Is there an age limit for participants?
The festival is open to people of all ages. We encourage families and young people to get involved, as we are also focusing on grassroots youth development for the future of the game.

Can I just watch, or do I need to play?
You are welcome to just watch and enjoy the event! However, we strongly encourage everyone to try out the game, as it’s a great way to meet others and get involved.

What is the goal of the festival?
The primary goal is to increase participation in Pickleball within the Deaf community, raise awareness of Deaf sports, and promote health and wellbeing for all attendees.
