Event Format & Fees

Unlimited festival friendlies all day during advertised hours.

The entry fee for the event is £25 per day.

Saturday Format

Unlimited festival friendlies all day on 16 courts

Dedicated youth matches on 2 courts (if demand is there)

Sunday Format

Unlimited festival friendlies all day on 16 courts

Dedicated youth matches on 2 courts (if demand is there)

The Festival is being organised by PbE supported by London Pickleball

Eligibility

Unlike the English Nationals Singles there is no requirement for players to have been born in England or reside in England.  

The event is open to all PbE members.

On registering, you will be sent a confirmation email confirming your entry as well as a special link back to the registration website (if it doesn't come through please check all junk folders before sending through an enquiry to let us know).

Travel

Car - Junction 23 of the M1 is the closest motorway junction on the west side of Loughborough while if you are coming from the east side the A6 is the main route running through the north & east of the town.  The Dan Maskell Tennis Centre is based in the grounds of Loughborough University - address is Loughborough University, Loughborough, Leicestershire LE11 3JD.

Train - Loughborough train station is on the NE side of the town.  Its approx 2.5 miles from the station to the Dan Maskell Tennis Centre.

Plane - East Midlands Airport is the closest airport approx 9 miles from the Dan Maskell Tennis Centre.

Volunteering

The 2024/5 English Nationals Singles Event, like all pickleballEngland events is a volunteer run tournament. A lot of things are planned out in advance however it is always incredibly useful to have lots of pairs of hands, and feet on the ground in the build up to the event. If you are willing and available at any point from Saturday morning thru Sunday evening even for a couple of hours then please send through an enquiry to let us know - it will be very much appreciated!!

Recreational Play

We anticipate creating 32 pickleball courts at the venue.  We hope that there will be opportunities for players to get some recreational play across the weekend. All players who have registered for the event will have access to the festival on the day of their event.  If you want to play on your non event day, you would need to register for the Festival. 

Venue & Food

NO FOOD OR DRINK (EXCEPT WATER BOTTLES) ARE ALLOWED NEAR THE COURTS.  ANYONE THAT VIOLATES THIS RULE WILL BE IN CONTEMPT OF OUR CODE OF CONDUCT.

Loughborough are used to staging events.  They have catering available.  More information will be added.
