Thank you for choosing to join us at this year’s English Nationals. Or should I say lucky enough to join us, given that so many did not manage to get a place. Whilst we expected to fill up quickly, we did not expect some events to fill up in 5 minutes! Even with over 1330 registered players, we know that there are disappointed players who couldn’t partner with their original choice. Our registration system doesn’t have the capability to capture your partner name and since we are developing PickleBook we are not making any changes. For next year, we will definitely need to have regional qualifiers.

We are back at Bolton Arena for the fifth year. The team at Bolton Arena feel like friends and they get a kick out of the event and especially enjoy seeing it grow. With two streamed courts, club team mates can follow the action over the 4 days. Those that play on those courts get the opportunity to assess their play after the event – a great learning experience.

The English OPEN schedule proved tough on our volunteers so we have promised them that everyone will have an evening during the English Nationals. If we all do our bit to make sure that games start on time, we should be done by 6.30pm.

We know many of you are seasoned English Nationals attendees — and we hope you'll help welcome first-timers, show them the ropes, and make sure everyone has a great time. While competition is central to the event, enjoying the experience and making new connections matters just as much.

We have a packed schedule, and we appreciate your help in keeping things running smoothly: please be on time for your matches and return scores promptly.

We’re excited to have even more referees this year, including USAP Certified Referee Erin McKarski. Kelly Dawson is our Referee Co-ordinator and will be one of 10 referees from the UK.

Many of Team England that represented us so well in Rome at the 2nd European Pickleball Championships will be playing at this event. Don’t miss the chance to watch them play or get a picture with them.
