This Club Instructor course is the second step in our coaching curriculum, with Pickleball Leadership Certification (or Club Leader) being the first.
In order to ensure that attendees get the most out of the workshop we do require all attendees to have attended the Pickleball Leaders Certification workshop which teaches the fundamentals.
Who is it for?
At the end of the session, if you meet the standard, you will receive a certificate of competence, to show that you have undertaken training.
Attending the Club Instructor workshop is one component of this step, resulting in a certificate of attendance. To secure a pass and to be listed on the PbE website and receive PbE Public Liability Insurance cover, students must also:
Take an online exam to demonstrate understanding of the rules of pickleball/ instructing fundamentals.
Complete a reflections task.
Provide a certificate of recent attendance of a Safeguarding in sport and First Aid course.
Clear an Enhanced DBS. To do this simply go to:- https://www.carecheck.co.uk. Where you need to put a company name/reference, place PICKLEBALLENGLAND but leave organisation code blank. When you have completed your submission, pbE will receive a notification that an application needs to be reviewed.
We will then arrange a zoom call to verify your ID, take details down, etc for processing. Within a short time you will be notified of the outcome. The cost is paid directly to Care Check.
How much does it cost?
We want to keep the costs as low as possible but need to cover venue costs, tutor fees/expenses and cost of booklets. The cost of this workshop is £150.
