We are delighted to announce that we are offering a one day Sussex Pickleball Festival to be held at The Triangle Sports Centre in Burgess Hill which is very accessible being close to the A23 (main London to Brighton artery).

This event has all your usual festival fun across eleven courts with the opportunity for some more competitive play for those that want it!

The registration fee for the event is £30.

• Courts 9am-6pm

The Festival is being organised by Steve Beale with the assistance of Chris & Karen Mitchell.

THE VENUE

The Festival will be held at The Triangle Sports centre, Burgess Hill, located Triangle Way, Burgess Hill RH15 8WA. The Triangle is a large sports centre which regularly hosts events. It has a huge seated viewing area.  There are 12 courts for the day in one large hall divided into 4 3-court areas by curtains.  We will use one of the courts for festival management.

There is a water fountain and a Costa cafe for a professionally prepared caffeine hit or hot and cold food at the venue. 

The Festival will provide some refreshments such as squash, bananas and biscuits.

EVENT FORMAT

• The majority of play will follow a festival style of friendly play.  
• For first timers, you ask at the admin table to be allocated to a court and when the court frees up, you and 3 others play a game to 11 win by 1 before freeing the court up for the next players.  
• Courts will be arranged for players of all experience and ability levels to get close games with players at a similar level.  This includes beginners, as a festival format is the perfect introduction to playing at an event.
• You can play with and against people you choose to play with by letting the court monitor know as a group when you request a court, otherwise you will be allocated to a court with some new friends in the making!
• There will also be some opportunities for more competitive players to get involved in some competitive play.

EVENT SCHEDULE

Check-in will open at 8.30 and the courts will be in use continuously until just before 18.00.
